Statement of Faith

There is One True God, the Creator, Yahweh, Who is sovereign over all of His creation. Three persons exist in God as One being—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.1

God created man in His image—man and woman, both, are the complete image of God.2 He gives His image-bearers freewill because He desires relationship with every single person He creates.3 To have real relationship, a person must be allowed to say “yes” or “no” to God. Without a “no” there is no free will. When people say “no” to God, this freewill decision hurts them and hurts other people.

When Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, this was their free will “no” to God’s offer to remain with Him in the garden forever. They left God’s rest and sin entered the world at the fall of man.4

From the foundation of the earth God had a plan in place for the redemption of mankind.5 The Logos, the Spoken Word of God through Whom all life is created, became a man named Jesus Christ.6 He lived a perfect life and gave Himself as the propitiation for the sins of all mankind.7 He was crucified and died, was buried, and was resurrected from the dead.8 He is seated, now, at the right hand of the Father in heaven where He fulfills His appointment as High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.9

Every human life finds it’s beginning in Him.10 God was with every single person in a secret place, in sacred intimate encounter at the time He created them.11 Every person has destiny in Christ, waiting to be unlocked.12 God has written of each of His image bearers in His book and has known every day of their lives before they’ve ever lived.13

Every person has identity and value in Christ. Identity and value are realized through intimate encounter with God.14 Eternal life is to know God.15 No person should settle for knowing God through another person.16 The entire meaning of life is to love God and to love other people.17 We love because He first loved us. To love others well, we must spend time getting to know God. We must spend time being loved by God.18 His love persuades us of who we are and how valuable we truly are to Him.19

The written Word of God is holy and will never pass away. It is living and active and should divide a person’s soul from their spirit.20 We receive true revelation from the Word of God through the Holy Spirit.21 God has hidden the deep things of God from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants.22 True wisdom and knowledge must be revealed to us as we ask, seek and knock.23

The written Word of God should lead us into encounter.24 We were designed to have interactive relationship with God, and it is His desire that we all hear His voice and follow Him.25 True worshippers worship in spirit and truth.26 The written Word of God and the spoken Word of God are equally important to the spiritual life of a believer.27 When we practice, Holy Spirit trains us to discern spiritual things through our senses.28 God desires to connect with us through intimate relationship. This fulfills a deep yearning in his heart to be close to us.29

Jesus Christ is returning to permanently destroy all evil, to wipe away every tear, and to remake heaven and earth. Until that day comes, we are His ambassadors on earth, no longer citizens of this world but of a kingdom beyond this life that cannot be destroyed.30 God’s people are His Church.31

As the Church, we have been commissioned to reproduce God’s kingdom in the lives of other people by introducing them to the love of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ.32 We become ever more active in this commission as we are renewed in our minds and sanctified in our souls from glory to glory, strength to strength, and faith to faith.33 We should not judge, but practice the fruit of the Spirit, for it is the kindness of God that leads men to repentance.34 Of course, kindness does not mean watering down the truth, for there is Godly sorrow that produces a repentance that leads to salvation.35

Every believer is filled with the Holy Spirit when they are born again.36 This happens at the moment of first revelation of the gospel, and acceptance of the free gift of salvation through the Blood of Jesus Christ. When a person is born of the spirit, they cannot be ‘un-born again.’37 Salvation is a process a believer progresses in as they are continuously healed, delivered, set free, and brought further into the heart of God by revelation of His truth and love for them—in other words—they will never do this for themselves.38

It is God’s desire that each believer receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, also known as the ‘promise of the Father.’39 Jesus commands the early Church to wait to be ‘clothed in power’ before going out to fulfill their commission.40 When a believer is baptized in the Holy Spirit they can now more fully answer their calling by walking in the power of the Holy Spirit.41 An outward showing of this baptism is a spiritual language that no human being will comprehend.42 The Holy Spirit will speak through a believer in groanings too deep for words.43 This is known as praying in a tongue or praying in the spirit.44
